Sven Roering Managing Partner A native South African, Sven has been managing wealth and private investment portfolios for individuals and families based in Asia for over 3 years. In addition to his private client activities, he oversees the firm’s investment and asset allocation strategies. Sven holds an Economics degree from Rhodes University in South Africa, where he focused on statistical and mathematical economics. He is also an active candidate in the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program. David Jackson Equity Partner Alongside David’s role as an active shareholder at Tenzing, he is currently the General Director of Colliers International Vietnam. He has also held the previous positions of Chief Information Officer of Colliers International, Ho Chi Minh City Branch and the Property Director for Asset Services. He holds an MSc in Surveying from the College of Estate Management, University of Reading, UK & a BSc (Hons) in Applied Biological Sciences from Manchester Metropolitan University in the UK. He is an active member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). Yuki Nakamura Senior Associate Yuki received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Seijo University in Tokyo. Before joining Tenzing Pacific, she worked as an Affiliated Financial Planner (AFP) at Nomura Securities in Japan and is knowledgeable about various financial products. Her experience includes investment consulting, portfolio construction, as well as hosting investment talks for clients. She speaks fluent English and Japanese, as well as Mandarin. In her spare time, she enjoys swimming, travelling and cooking. Maia Russell US tax adviser Maia is a native of the United States. Maia has three years of investment experience and ten years of professional experience in the United States. Maia advises clients on tax compliance, strategies, and planning. Specifically, she specializes in assisting clients with income tax examinations with the IRS and various taxing authorities. Previously, she held positions where she managed many aspects of entity accounting; financial reporting; internal control design; tax compliance; compliance and regulatory audits; and treasury operations. Maia has a strong audit and accounting background in various industries including; investment management, manufacturing, retail, aerospace, and non-profits. Her prior accounting and finance professional experiences were with Aptitude Investment Management, RSM McGladrey, Interstate Distributor Company and Senior Services of America. She holds a B.A. in Accounting and Finance from the Foster School of Business at the University of Washington and is a Certified Public Accountant in the United States. Quinn Miller Managing Partner- Insurance Division Quinn heads Tenzing’s insurance division, which helps clients manage their risk through the leading health & life insurance products. He focuses on matching clients to suitable products & providing year-round customer service. His clients include individuals, families & corporate policies in Vietnam and throughout SE Asia. Quinn has been living in Vietnam for over 6 years and has been active in his role at Tenzing for over 3.5 years. Quinn holds a Finance degree from the University of Iowa in the US. Shane Dillon Equity Partner Shane has a 14-year track record of recruiting, leading and aligning multicultural teams in new and existing organizations operating in Asia. In 2016 he completed an MBA with Distinction from RMIT University where he was the inaugural awardee of the Asian Business Center full scholarship. Originally from Brisbane, Australia; Shane moved to Asia in 2003 after graduating from QUT with an Applied Science degree in Mathematics. Over the next decade while working in Asia, Central America and Eastern Europe he completed Graduate Certificates in; International Development (2008), Wealth Management (2009) and Economics (2014). Shane has over 9 years’ experience in the insurance and financial services industry in Asia with a track record of developing and executing profitable growth strategies. In Vietnam, Shane has served on the board of directors for the Australian Chamber of Commerce and held advisory roles for business and educational institutes operating in SE Asia. Sau Do Associate Mrs. Sau Do returned to her native Vietnam after spending 10 years in the United States. There she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting & her MBA. Sau is fluent in both Vietnamese & English. She joined the Tenzing team in September, 2016. Nick Joslin Associate Nick has been living in Vietnam for the past 2 years, providing bespoke financial planning advice for expatriates and their families. His approach is very simple, provide honest and efficient solutions for his clients. Nick holds a Bachelor’s degree from Southampton University and has obtained a Level 3 certificate with the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments (CISI). He is currently studying for the Level 4 CISI Investment Advice Diploma recognized by Ofqual in the UK. Tuan Huynh Junior Analyst Tuan is a recent graduate from the State University of New York College at Plattsburgh in the US, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance & Economics. With an excellent academic record, he was the recipient of SUNY Plattsburgh International Scholarship as well as the sole recipient of the university’s excellence award in finance and economics. He performs research on commodities, international equities and fixed-income assets at the firm, ensuring the firm’s wealth and portfolio managers are making better investment decisions for their clients.
